Some guys say you can use the pitman arm from the S-10 and be fine, while the OP had to switch the pitman arm...."Some have said that you may have to use the existing pitman arm from your stock steering box. I found that this was not true in my case. I used a manual steering box from a 1989 S-10 pickup" this is from the FAQ here...1982-91 are the S-10 boxes that work...ANyone know where the cutoff is though during these years where you can use the S-10 pitman arm for sure???

If you find a manual box, get it. With a good pitman arm puller, hammer, PB Blaster, and patience you'll em' off. Tha guys at Advance Auto didnt recommend me using a tourch cause it might mess up tha seals. Hope this helps.
