My car recently got put on the road and got a tune up to run right. Now when I try to start it, it struggles really hard and starts weird. I went back to the place and they told me I just gotta pump the gas peddle twice start the car and wait a few mins for it to idle correctly.

This doesnt seem right that I have to do that everytime the engines cold. It seems like it is idling very very low and slowwwwly crawls up to a normal idle, then goes past the normal idle. It had a high idle before but not a low idle, and when i rev the engine it drops back down.

Could getting a new carb help this? the guy before me had to replace the carb and then had to put back the old one or something, so that could be why?

If anyone can help that would be great, pics would help the most.

thanks

the guy said he adjusted the choke when I brought it back. How could I fix this, or check myself?

It used to idle fine when warm but now that he readjusted it I haven't been able to test it, I just got it back.

It also wants to die when I accelerate, almost like its out of gas.

I sounds like you may be used to driving FI cars.

When you start it cold, pump the pedal all the way to the floor to set the fast idle cam. That should allow it to idle at a higher speed until warms up. At that time it will return to the idle screw setting.

If you do replace the carb, I would suggest you get a 4V intake and install a small 4V carb.
