6.0 bone stock makes 300-350 hp and 360-380 tq, but talking with the site sponsor, brp, you can drop a zo6 cam from the c5 series and heads/intake from a l92 and some headers and get upwards of 500 to 550 hp, and for all those parts, minus the headers, is about 800 bucks.

The motor I bought was with the aluminum heads and a 4l80 trans, it was 2k, then the swap parts IE fuel tank, fuel pump, wiring harness, were about another 700 bucks. Lastly was the kit from brp for 500.

#-o Sorry not gonna happen for $800. New L92 heads are $800 for the pair (and another $100 or so for intake rockers and stands), a used z06 cam is ~$125 plus you need upgraded valve springs (new z06 springs are $60), the carb'd L92 intake is $320, so thats $1400 right there. Plus if you buy the BRP headers thats another $700.
Heres the articles Car Craft did on building a 6.0 http://www.carcraft.com/projectbuild/116_0704_lq4_short_block/index.html
heres the one where they put the L92s on it http://www.carcraft.com/techarticles/ccrp_0705_chevrolet_ls2_l92_cylinder_heads/index.html

I'm still astounded at the power a stock LQ4 makes with just the carbureted intake and headers :D \:D/

I was looking into an LS swap last year, but the final cost of everything for bolting it in and having it drivable was just way outta my budget :( One day though.

If you can't find all the parts for that price, you looking in all the wrong places. I have found them on ls1 tech for cheaper than 800 bucks, actually if you watch your local craigslist you can find many parts cheaper. The cam, pushrods, and springs all used with 40k cost me 180 off craigslist. The intake, if again you watch carefully, can be found for less than 200, maybe my math was a little off, so 900. Its all about looking and waiting to find what you want. The intake I was talking about was the FI one, not the one to make it carbed.
