Here we go guys,

We are getting started on our LQ9/4L65E Swap. 8.5 Grand National Rear (built) Gotta get the Car cleaned up a bit before we can start.

Non-A/C. We are installing a non-ac heater box. Got Brp Mid-Length Headers Ceramic Coated, Also Brp Mounts and not sure on trans crossmember yet.

Gonna use either Grand National Rad with fans or F-Body Radiator with fans. Gonna try and keep the LQ9 Oil Pan because its no diffrent if i was to run a deep sump pan.

Motor has 200 miles on it. Still working on locating 4L65E trans. Using Stock PCM with Hp-Tuners program. Surely going with nice cam swap and maybe a Victor Jr intake with wilson elbow for better flow rates.

Using a Monte Carlo SS interior swap with 2002 Firebird Cloth seats and not sure what wheels will be installed but something lightweight.

Here are the build details

OK, just a question, are you keeping it FI or going carbed on this one? Just wondering because I picked up a dbw lq9 but didn't have wiring harness or gas pedal or puter....thought I'd ask

As for the swap, i love those headers, just haven't had the fundage to buy them yet. I'm going to keep watching though because thats awesome progress.

Re: NEW Project 1978 Malibu LQ9/4L65 Swap

Refer back to first post.

Stock PCM controls with HP-Tuners under control. THis motor also will be getting a full cam swap, rockers, push rods to give it bit moore than stock power.

Leaving the stock heads on it.

Nice looking Malibu. Where does the boosted part come in? Are you planning a supercharger or turbos? Looking forward to updates on this one.
