just a simple question here.....i have an 87 elcamino that we mini tubbed and put the qa1 coil overs in, and the springs it came with are dual rate 12-130/250, and the ride is terrible the 130 part bottoms outand its just on the 250 part. the rear of the car weights 1596 i was thinking 12-200 springs single rate or the 12-170 ones....which one do you guys think will work better?
also my dumb azz bought 12-080 springs before i weighed the car and those are way too weak. i only put them on the car and took them back off.....if anyone has any intrest in them let me know, they are on ebay now. :D

this is what i have tried on my el camino that i currently are running the factory springs in The car sets at 27in from the ground to the fender well lip. I ordered some 14in 110lbs springs and acutally raised the car up about.5in so i took them out. the car weighs 1440 in the back so what springs are you guys running on the back of your el camino. The fatory springs are 14.25in with a rating of 121lbs per inch so i am thinking about trying out the 12in springs at 120lbs which would give me about 2in of drop. U might try that out depending on how much u want to lower the rear end.

Thanks! I do have them straight up and down tho.
I went with the 200 lbs springs, they seem to work well. I would still like to try the 170 ones if I cant get the car to weight transfer too well......but at least I have some suspension movement back there now :)
