questions about rallies

Hi guys I just bought 4 15x8 rallies from summit racing and they have 4 1/4 backspace and i was wondering what the biggest tire i can run on the front and rear and i want the rear bigger obviously lol without issues it still has the factory rearend and no mods ive searched this forum and can't find anyone with 4 1/4 backspace setups please help i don't want to have to try a half a dozen tires to try and find the right ones any help is greatly appreciated. ](*,)

If your springs are healthy and there's no wreck damage that misaligned anything, you should be able to use 265/50 on the rear and 245/60 on the front. The front might touch the frame/suspension at full lock, but when do you drive at full lock? And it won't cause any problems if it does touch under extreme full lock turning.

I would run 215/65/15s in the front, There 26 inches tall. In the rear, Go with a 245/60/15s, There 26.5 inches tall. If you think you need more tire in the rear, A 255/60/15 might work, There 27 inches tall. The popular tire on here seams to be the 275/60/15 which is 28 inches tall, I think that will deffenetly rub on the frame. Doug

are you sure it's not 4" backspace? 4" is the standard backspace for 15x8 gm rallys. If it is 4" in the rear 275/60 should fit but it really depends on ride height

when i ordered the rallies from summit racing I asked the sales guy if they had them in a 4" backspace and he said that the reproductions they have are 4 1/4 backspace and that is what the problem i was having and i went through all the pages here and couldn't find anyone with 4 1/4 but ive got too much snow on the ground now to mess with trying them on the car hopefully it will melt soon thanks guys.

thanks guys for the help i think im gonna try and put 255/60/15 in the back and maybe 215/60/15 in the front dunno tho gonna have to play alittle with it i think just wish i had a garage to test fit stuff in oh well.
