Since you have 18's on the back...I'd swap over the 4th-Gen F-body brakes. 12", parts readily available from a parts house...and if you shop you can pick up the back pair for under $400. They're a direct bolt on. Just need a fitting to convert the line on the back to the metric crap on the malibu.

thanks Barry,
whats the minimum size rim to use with them? Whats the best for the front.. b-body swap.. but must you use tubular a-arms?

16's or grind the crap out of the caliper to fit a 15".

The fronts you can do the b-body swap. You can do the ZQ8 swap, or if you're a balla, do the C5 swap :D

And for the budget 12" b-body swap http://gparts.freeyellow.com/12brakekit.html

zq8= s-10??

Yes...front hubs from 98+ Blazer ZQ8. I've heard good and bad about it. I personally like the idea.

I think at some point ShanaJustin had actually worked out a larger 3rd gen Camaro brake swap using parts from O'reilys but it's been so long I don't remember exactly what all was involved in that particular swap.
