Hi everybody!! I just put my new rims on the rear of my BU' and to my dismay, they are not in the same location!! ](*,) I tried to do a quick measure and it looks like the right rear is almost 1.5" to the right. \:D/ curse_sign.gif When I was young I slid the car into a curb and snapped my left rear axle. The shop we took it to, now out of buisness, said they could replace the axle or for a little more they had a grand national posi rear that they would put in. My Dad hopped on that. Well just now did some online research (17 years later) only to find that the Grand Nationals only came with a 8.5 rear. Yup mines a posi 7.5 \:D/ curse_sign.gif Oh well for now. I was just wondering if there is a way to re-align the rear to the wheel wells with the stock arms? I think the body might have slid a little, but she tracks straight as an arrow and doesn't go through tires. Any ideas?

maybe a stupid question, but are the arms bent at all? have you measured from the frame rail to the quarter panel on both sides to get an idea of how the body's sitting on the frame?

I thought all GN's came through with the 8.5. As far as measuring, I tried measuring from the drain hole behind the rear tire to the lower corner on the quarter and it is about an inch off. so that could be all it is. I did notice that my frame rail all the way up is much tighter on the right side than on the left side, which would make sense, due to the fact that I nailed the left side on the curb when I hit it. :-s :-s #-o ](*,)

could you just loosen the body bolts
and move the body over that would

I think that might work, I'll have to see what happens, I had to replace two mounts before and the bolt snapped on one and the weld on the nut broke on the other one! ](*,) \:D/ curse_sign.gif I just bought some PB blaster and will try soaking the bolts as much as possible before I try. Good thought!

Welp, I tried to loosen a couple of body mount bolts and sure enough I had two welds on the nuts break and one bolt twist off!! \:D/ curse_sign.gif curse_sign.gif , Needless to say I stopped there!! ](*,) ](*,) The bolt that snapped, and the one that snapped before, was worn down to about 1/4" of good steel left. Didn't take much to snap off!! \:D/ curse_sign.gif MAN IF THIS WEREN'T MY FIRST CAR I'D JUST GET RID OF IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
