I say no puts more stress on axles turning and not sure what you can put up with in a street car but i wouldnt stand for it. People all have different views on what a street car is though

NO.Take a toy car that has a solid axle and turn it in a circle .Note that the in side tire is turning alot faster then the outside tire .A spool on the street will eat tires and break axles.

 Hmmm thats funny I have quite a few friends that run them in thier cars on the street with no problems at all. And yes before you ask, they see regular street duty, and most are 9-10 second cars. None of them have ever broke an axle, but they arent running stock axles either.(I would not reccomend a spool with stock axles at all)

I run a spool on the street too, my rear diff is a Dodge 8.75. Hardly notice it until
I get in a parking lot or somewhere that has fresh asphalt. If you are running a spool in a Chevy diff that will mean you have went with C clip eliminators and aftermarket axles so a broken axle won't be an issue anyway.Mini spools are for dirt tracks and garbage bins, don't even think of using one of them unless you like driving on 3 wheels.

I ran a spool in my 8.5 10 bolt, then upgraded to a full spool with Stragne axles and c-clip eliminators. Drove it a ton on the street with the mini spool and never had any problems. Yeah it does drive differently, but you get used to it.
