Does anyone know where I can get the gasket/ o-ring from that goes where the speedo cable screws in? On a 350 trans.

Ok. I found it. Is this what I have to take off of the end of the cable?

Your cable will unscrew from it then there is a small bolt holding a tab on the tailshaft. Loosen the bolt and the tab should swing clear or take it off completely. The "bullet" will pull out with the driven gear in it. Just slide out the gear and put it in to the new one and reverse the process.

Cool. I havent done this since last summer, so IIRC, will I have to drain all trans fluid 1st to prevent leaking from the hole?

No you don't need to drain the fluid. There shouldn't be any up that high. What oil does get back there is splashed there.

No problem. You could maybe have found just the seal and o ring but it's alot easier to change the whole thing
