I dont doubt what you guys are saying but Im just trying to figure out why a fella who was 70 when he purchased the car new would do something stupid like that.

Maybe Ill just go aftermarket and get a fiberglass lid.

Someone help me out. There was a posting on here with a guy that could paint and chrome stuff that shouldn't by a new method. I knwo it was in the painting forum.
