I currently have an 70 A body 12 bolt rearend with spool and have 4" aluminum driveshaft with 1330 u-joints. The u-joints held up fine with my low 12 second 425 hp 355, but my new 383 has 525 hp and switching from drs to slicks and shooting for low 11s. I don't want to spend the money on new yokes for 1350 u-joints unless I have to. What do you guys think are the 1330s safe enough at this power level.

The u-joints shouldn't be a problem. What you should look at is how much power that aluminum driveshaft can handle. Many were designed just for dirt track and other lower stress racing applications. I would get in touch with the company you got the driveshaft from.
