2 and 3 inch spacers are the ones that bolt to the hub and have their own lugs right?? if so those are never going to break.

i have c5 stocks on my cutlass with 2" spacers up front and 3" in the back, and im not too worried about the spacers around here i see caprices and impalas with 600hp big blocks doing donuts on 24" and up wheels and havent seen one break yet.

My take on that is it's because those "big " wheels almost never have "big" tires. They're usually no wider (or stickier) than 245s...

Big spacers beat the daylights out of wheel bearings, too...
