What are you going to use the vehicle for? What IS the vehicle, for that matter. What rear gears and transmission are you using? What camshaft?
A lot of guys have successfully used 305 heads, but not just ANY 305 head, and they will need some work to get the most from them. Are you able to do your own work, even as far as grinding on a cylinder head? If not, the 305 heads might not be for you, unless you only need a lot of torque to about 5000RPM max.
What is the casting numbers of the 305 heads w/the 1.84" intakes?
882's- even w/2.02 X 1.60" valves- leave quite a bit to be desired. They might be the best option, though- especially if your app means you need to turn more than 5K RPM and still be making some power. Have they had any port work done? Pocket porting- at least- will be needed to blend the larger seats into the bowl smoothly.
