Yea, stay away from the pro comps, they are very tempting but they are just cheap junk with absolutly no engineering behind them. People have had problems on the assembled heads with breaking valve stems, and mushrooming the tips. On the ford side, they even drilled the holes in the wrong spots for the rocker studs :roll:
It also depends on who assembled them. I would let a reputable machine shop check and assemble them and they will be fine. I have been running them for a half a year on a drag car and have had no problems. I am very happy with the set I have. There are alot of people running these heads from this company with no failures. They use good parts and assemble them in their shop. But it is your choice on what to use I am making a suggesting for the person who asked and these heads will make the power he is looking for with the right combination.
There is good and bad out there in every aspect of products. I assemble rear differentials for a living and I can tell you NO MATTER where I buy from and NO matter WHAT I buy. American and Korean chinese japanese German Italian....etc. YOU will get bad stuff. What is worse is when you get What everyone thinks is GREAT AMERICAN QUALITY...That is assembled wrong or just plan packaged wrong....
I have had trouble from Randy's, Reider's, Zumbrota bearing, and Even MOSER on products not to spec and esspecially not getting all the parts that were ordered and then the BILLing mistakes....GEEZ how hard is it to do your job correct!
Man PEOPLE lets get our S--T together out there. EVERYONE including ME! PLEASE what ever job you do try to pay attention and do your job correct. Have pride in your work and will get out of this mess we ALL have created. I think people would buy our American product (mostly Americans) if we had more confidence that it truely was a quality product. We as the consumer have to BUILD & buy the quality NOT just tell everyone- but actually spend that more money and buy it.

How votes the government in??? WE DO. This is what I maean too. Seems we always only have 2 choices for president. We need to vote on changing the way the money is spent for elections. Seems the guy with all the money always wins...No the way it should be. They should have a set amount of money to do the promotion of the representitive. Then we can actually see how well they manage their money and how resourceful they are with it. Just another thought that keeps me awake at night...LOL.

Take care Happy Holidays!How is Everyone overlooking Canfields heads for under $1,200 complete and make some amazing numbers that rival if not better than afr's up to .400" where you will most likely use them. Great head and quailty is top notch I'll be running a set of there 215's on my 406
