what will it run in the 1320

well guys i just wanted to see what you think she will run i have been just throwing it togethere on a a budget here are my motor specs and the car is a 80 malibu tires micky dr's 275/60/15

stock 350 4bolt 30 over
heads camel hump stock
cam is a summit specs out like this
254*/264* .533*/555*
victer jr intake
csu 750 blough throw
ebay gt45 turbo
shooting for 21psi of boost and may ad 175 shot of bottle to th rear end is ford 8.8 with 373's and i havce a built turbo 350 transmission with 3500 stall i now it will not last long but i want to see how far the block will go before it grenades. A local guy made 736whp and ran a 9.36 with a junk yard 350 with 200.000 on the clock he was at 25 psi and shot 175 off the bottle if i remember right

So with a blowthru set up, what do you use for boost specific fuel pressure needs? MSD module? Maybe one that will also adjust the timing to retard in relation to the boost? I understand the theory, never had one to play with.

Do you run any sort of inter-cooler or water injection?

i havnt got in to all of that yet as of the timing part of it i was going to use the msd 8762 boost retard mod the fuel pressure i am going with a aromotive fuel pressure reg for carbs that adjusts to boost pressure i also have a CSU boost referenced power valve that will help with how much fuel the carb gets. As for the intercooler im at a stand still im am thinking the water/meth will make more power but with the ic there is no refilling the bottle. So i will have sort this one out lol.

seige look into the snow style systems, they use windsheild washer fluid (mix of alcohol and water with very little other junk). thought about building my own with a spare fogger nozzle and stand alone pump.

there is allot more into it than throwing boost at the engine. pick up a book about boosting sbc, you can learn anything from a book. but i read about the guy making big hp with a stock block. i think it was on yellow bullet forum.

oh i read every thing i can lol ya the guy i know is turbo355 on turbo forums he ran 7.38 with a junk yard motor his thread on there is great reading but it is 157 pages it is called how long till it grenades. thanks buschmec i will look into it

ill take the plunge, based on hp to weight ratio, ur cam and overall combo, i gigure it runs 13-12s on motor, guessing ur comp is 8-9 to1, on 21 pds of boost , i dont see why u cant run 9s all day.....let me know, im interested...
