we just bought a set of chrome ralley's, 15x6 or 7 up front (i'd have to check) and 15x8's out back. both rims have 4 inche of b/s. i know i'll be ok out back, but what about up front. the wagon there are goin on has been lowered 2.5' up front and 3 out back. i am thinkin like a 235-245/70 outback with 215/70's up front ( i like a tall sidewall)

Sounds like a factory offset to me and should be fine. Not sure though if you are using spindles to lower.

yea, i am using dropped spindles up front. i just wasn't sure on the front. the only thing i have ever ran on the front of these cars are just skinnies, and i havn't got the old rims off to measure the b/s.

on my '83 wagon with lowering spindles 4" was the max BS I could go. tie rod end would hit the wheel with any more. I had 17x7 w/245/45 (25.6" tall) and it rubbed the inner lip of the fender. your 215/70/15 will be about 1.5" taller but an inch narrower, so you may be OK. only time will tell now eh?

3.5 is stock backspacing. I have 4.25 bs on the front right now, it rubs the sway bar but no problems with the outer tierod
