Which lug nut is best?

I have centerline chrome wheels on my 78 El Camino
It currently has mag style lug nuts. I didn't realize that is the type that's on it. I purchased some conical chrome nuts to replace the other ones because they are rusty. Which style is better? Thank you for your help.

The ones I got are a washer thickness shorter than the old ones. I put them on anyway. I'll have to drive it and see if they hold. Those will be short trips, and check after every one.

I have them on and torqued to 70 lbs.

That was a good replacement, where did you get your lug nuts?

I got the lug nuts from www.mcgard.com through Amazon.

If your wheels don't have a tapered seat, you must use the nuts with washers.

The problem I remember was, that the lug nut goes through the rim, with a washer the nut won't go very far on the stud.
