Does anybody have the medium duty brakes on there g-body? it says recommended weight is 2800lbs with driver. my car is gonna be around 2950 when i'm done, possibly less then that. Just want to find out if i'd be ok with these brakes, being they are much lighter then the heavy duty brakes. It does have wilwood disc brakes on the rear and has a Stroud ProStock parachute. With the chute it would make sense i'd be fine. I will hopefully be going around 165ish mph. They are also about $150 less then heavy duty.

I'm in the process of putting Strange Pro Race brakes on my car right now (front & rear). Strange has no weight limits on their brake systems.

You'll be fine, especially for a strip only car. You're not going to put enough heat into them to warp them. My buddy Walt took the heavy duty off the Chevelle and went with the mediums, no diff whatsoever.
