wilwood or strange??

front brakes : for a street / strip car that weighs 3200 lbs with driver. Wilwood or strange? What should i get? I know that strange says "for raceing only" but i'm sure lots of guys run them on the street? Why would they say that ? I won't be autcrossing or anything.

Hey Brian,

I run the Strange set-up. If I remember correctly, they have two versions. One is a light weight racing version and the other is more street oriented. I believe the light weight version has much thinner rotors. The concern is in commuter traffic with constant stop/go conditions the rotors will over heat and warp. Unless you are hard on them they should work fine. I have a 3600 lb car so I went with the beefier version. They still cut 25 lbs off the nose of the car vs. the stock set up.
