well long story short bought the master cylinder new in like 05 . then drove the car twice and decided to put a new motor in it . so it has been off the road for a little bit now .put a manuel brake plate on it after painted the engine compartment been sitting for another 6 months while im getting the rest of the parts for the motor . and just noticed yester day that it is leaking in between the master cylinder and the manuel brake plate. what would cause this to happen? the thing is basically brand new

I see they have rebuild kits for them, is this a common problem?
all I know is rebuilding a part that has had no wear and tear on it is curse_sign.gif

and repainting the engine compartment with the motor in is going to be even worse

anyways I know what has to be done just looking for some kind of justification as to why it happened
