ok guys getting ready to do the whole rear suspension on my 78 malibu. heres the plan....315/35-17 tires with an american racing rim(not a torque thrust lol) that is 17x11. there is a thread on here from a guy who did this conversion and he used a 6 inch backspace that worked out great. im going to run a currie enterprise ford 9 in. direct bolt in. and im wanting to run wilwood rear discs on it....so my main question is apon getting the rear disc conversion will that make the rearend wider or is the same as it would be running drums? i realize the axle width will be the same but im not 100 percent sure if it will be the same with the brake conversion so i just want to know forsure before i start ordering all of this stuff and i should just measure instead for a custom lenght rear end.
