I was able to get the seal pushed in the firewall, for the cruise control wires, today. The wires are through it, but I need to get the conduit through the seal. Still making progress.

I took the 78 out for a test drive. The turn signal stalk came off. Now trying to replace it. I have a Rostra cruise control handle bolted to it.

I took the 78 for another test drive. I went through the school zone where there is sensored speed signs. At 25 the sign read 23. I went a little further then went up to 35 and tested the cruise control system and it worked fine. I then went a little further and got it up to 45 . I then tried the cruise control system again and it worked fine. Thanks again for all that helped me.

I installed a Allstar motorplate, TRZ rack and pinion kit, refinished my lemons headers, cut off my frame horns and managed to shave nearly 100 pounds off my car over the last couple weeks. I also built a light weight rad support this winter and put my fiberglass hood back on with a hole in it this time !

last summer i ran consistent 9.30's with a best of 9.26. This summer i hope to run in the 9.20's every pass.

I took the 16 lb radiator cap off and went down to the 11 lb cap. I had the Elk idle and it got up to 220 on the gauge. So it's the same as the 16 lb. temperature.

I switched back to the 16 lb radiator cap. I started the engine ran it 10 minutes. The temperature got to 220 on the gauge. I think I will have to check out the gauge, and see how accurate it is.
