how much nos for ls block.

I'd say 150 is what most do. If it were mine anything over would be getting rod bolts

    should I get a 5.3L?

Nothing wrong at all with 5.3s. Heads cam intake cars with 5.3s make good power.

ls1 vs. ls6 intake and head question!

Your right you can pick up an LS3 intake and set of injectors for a pretty decent price. Alot cheaper then you'd think really.

ls1 vs. ls6 intake and head question!

Don't pay an arm and a leg for L92 heads if you find a used set. You can nab 5.3 stage 2.5 heads off of LS1tech or a set of CNC 243 heads all day and for much cheaper then it takes to get them and send them out.

ls1 vs. ls6 intake and head question!

243s were on LS6 engines, LS2s, and I beleive some 5.3s. If I remember correctly the 243 is the same as the 799 casting. Z06s had lightweight valves and better, yellow valve springs. The difference in the intakes is the flow. The LS6 is probably good for a decent gain vs the LS1. Visually...

    90/10's on a daily driver

Like mentioned as long as you get used to the way it handles and don't try and act like your on an autocross track the first time out, you will see it's not bad at all. Honestly I don't know if you will really feel a difference with the sway bars still on the car. It all depends what shocks you...

    90/10's on a daily driver

I drive mine whenever the sun is out and there is no rain/snow in the day's forecast. It has 90/10's up front and 50/50's in the rear. The shocks didn't seem so bad to adjust before I put them in but I'd bet they'd be a pain in the *ss if I wanted to change them. They are just the Summit ones...

has anyone installed the lca relocation brackets?

Finished installing mine this past weekend. The rear of the car seems bouncier when it's not in the stock location. I also installed adjustable uppers with delrin bushings, an anti roll bar from Spohn, and was on my Nitto drag radials in 45° weather, so I'll let you know if they help at the track.

L92 (LS3) best swap kit for 78 malibu

Give them a call or email. I bought the kit but emailed them asking to take the trans crossmember back because I didn't like it. Other people have had the same problem. If you are trying to save weight and want a tubular crossmember, you can get an Iceman. If you just are looking for a...

L92 (LS3) best swap kit for 78 malibu

The BRP headers and mounts fit good. The BRP crossmember fits like dog crap so you'll want an Iceman or G-Force. Also the Holley pan fits really nicely with the BRP mounts, it sits .5-1" above the crossmember. Hope you're not on a tight budget though, that's over $1500 in just swap parts.

    f-body oil pan

What kind of headers do you plan on using? With the way your build is coming along you may want to use the F-body ones to be a little closer to the body. The BRP's tend to hang down low, actually even with the musclecar pan. I tried using them but one of the primaries needs quite a bit of...

    LS Swap Fuel Tank

I've got a replacement one from Autozone or Advance, which I'm sure is the same as the Spectra and Dorman. And yes it does have the venting issues. As long as you don't shove the nozzle all the way in and don't mind holding the nozzle part way in, then there's no need to worry. Even on my 07'...

looks like im going turbo lsx

I'm also using the Lokar one. I beleive it was the 36" LS cable. Make sure you also get the bracket for the cable. They came out with black braided cables and the black cable bracket not too long ago, but you have to do some digging for part numbers because Summit didn't have pictures or...

    f-body oil pan

Yeah it looks really nice you did an awesome job. Looking back I should have notched the frame and used the f-body or cts-v instead of the musclecar. It sort of limits what you can do suspension wise up front with the lower hanging pans.

    ls rocker's

I did the Comp trunion kit on mine and they're holding up just fine

    f-body oil pan

Wish I'd seen this sooner. The CTS-V pan won't work with the BRP mounts and stock crossmember, but the way you notched it, it would clear pretty nicely. Great job. I went with the Musclecar pan because I didn't want to modify the frame at all.

    ls1 engine questions

I guess it's a decent price if that's all that is around you. I'd personally keep looking though. Around here you can buy a totalled LS1 F-body for that and then part whatever's good out to get some money back. But you have to figure that price includes everything, harness, front accessories...

    harness

I did a complete Painless harness for my car. If I was gonna do another LSx G-body I'd do what everyone else said.

    ls1 engine questions

Definately a custom grind cam. Either aftermarket or CNC'd stock heads, mill the heads on a 6.0 to bump the compression up, flat top pistons, intake preferrably a FAST 92 or 102 with matching TB. What kind of budget do you have? A dyno tune is an absolute must when shooting for power levels like...
