Thanks guys, but that's not mine  I just 'shopped a Malibu with Irocs to green and lowered it. My dad hasn't gotten 'em put on yet, but I'll have pics when he does... he has some bigger priorities right now.
It's not as much wheel size as it is overall height/width and backspacing. Those wheels needed a 2.25"-2.5" adapter in the rear, overall backspacing in the rear is about 4.875", meaning roughly 1/4" offset inboard. You will need to roll/cut the fender lip to avoid slicing the sidewall.
With...
Hopefully I'll be making a deal on a trade for some 16x8 Iroc wheels for the 17x9.5s I have. I say they're 9.5", but never measured... the owner of the other wheels told me where to check on the wheel casting for part number, size, etc. My dad will be checking them up in MI and I'll be finding...
Found out it will be here much sooner than I expected. I didn't realize, but my parents put an off on a house when they were visiting this Jan., and I just found out a couple days ago while they've been visiting for my 2nd youngest cousin's wedding. They've been waiting on the sellers' bank to...
Yup, 275/40/17. The lip will likely need rolling though. With 4.875" backspacing on a 9.5" wheel there is a comfortable amount of room for any extra suspension movement. Forget about that width in the front, better off with 17x8 & 255/40/17 or 245s and it will probably still be tight with a...
I know mine bolted in just fine... I also adjusted mine to have up to 1", the rod I'm using is at the very end of its adjustment though, so I'll need to get a new one.
Solid body bushings will also help, the car is basically a unibody that stiffens the frame, and the stock body mounts allow movement that can be reduced/eliminated with solid mounts.
G-Bodies in the rust belt are very prone to rusting out from the seam just above the axle back, mud and other junk gets flung up & sticks, and the rails rust out.
There are 3 holes in the frame just behind the driver front tire for the frame side z-bar bracket, I believe they're 10mm sheetmetal. There is a ballstud that is threaded on one end (I believe 1/2", don't know the threads) that threads into the block just above the pressure sender/switch port...
