Clutch peddle assembly from a Monte Carlo in a Malibu?

How much HP are you thinking? I have a stock 4-speed Saginaw behind the 350 (~375hp/415lb.ft.) and it's holding up just fine.

What's really in your oil filter?

You could always buy one & cut it open

What's really in your oil filter?

After reading an article linked by Wile E, I thought I'd put it here in case anyone else was interested. Though not GM-specific, it gives a lot of good detail about oil filters. Overview Cutaways/Descriptions Opinions/Recommendations

    4 SPEED ISSUES

It's good you mentioned that kevind, I was going to say I remember someone said they simply dimpled the floor around the fork and haven't had any clutch issues. The issue with using a straight fork on a G-Body bellhousing is there would be a misalignment issue and basically the forces would...

    quiet mufflers

Cruising I don't really have any resonance with the Pypes system, but if I'm on the gas at all it gets quite loud :) Nice deep rumble at idle too, I think part of that may be due to the rotted out quarter panels letting sound in, then it resonating in the trunk.

Question about drop spindles and backspacing

Clint, from the pics I believe yours is lowered... I don't think they sat that low from the factory.

    Anybody build up a 229 V6?

I reference the other TBI post I made (port injection referenced as well) 8)

    4.3 swap who's done it?

You can up the fuel pressure (and run a variable FPR) along with running 454 TBI (80lb./hr.) injectors to get more fuel. At higher pressures the injectors can't control fuel flow as well (necessitating the vafpr), but currently at 25psi the injectors fueling my 383 only hit about 60% duty...

    stock monte hood surgery

I actually did a photochop like that on a Malibu... I don't think it looks half bad :D To the point I'd almost consider it for mine (if I had the metalworking/welding skills).

Suspension lean/sag, can't figure it out???

But that still wouldn't account for the height difference in the frame.

    Homemade turbo kit?

Forced induction and cheap do not go hand in hand unless you can fabricate everything yourself, and even still it's a pretty penny.

    Anybody build up a 229 V6?

I will concur about blower whine 8)

    Anybody build up a 229 V6?

A turbo build on a TBI 4.3 would be quite cool I think :D It's clear syclonefast is no stranger to them ;)

Question about drop spindles and backspacing

They're just stock 15x6 3rd gen Z28 wheels, I believe the tires are 215/60. The tires don't rub, but the wheels scrape like crazy on the a-arms. I have a pair of 15x7 American Racing Outlaw Is on the rear and a pair to match the front, just need some shorter tires... I'm not sure if I'll swap...

    Anybody build up a 229 V6?

I almost considered a turbo project of my '92 4.3 Sierra, but for some reason decided to do a 383.

Mater Cylinder to Proportioning Valve Line

The proportioning block in my '92 Sierra is just under the master cylinder... is that something like what you're talking about?

    Carb choice???? (Street driven)

Ditto on an Edelbrock 600, at least that's what I have... $25 from the junkyard I worked at many years ago, haven't touched it in years (except when I've installed/removed it) and it's been very good to me. With the current engine/cam I think it's running slightly rich at cruise, but that's...

What Can Be Done With A 283 ??

From the sound of things a 283 would make for some fun, but it could get pricey for a little high rpm engine. You may see an increase in mileage with just an intake swap and opening the exhaust a little (at the very least make sure the exhaust doesn't have any restrictions).

Question about drop spindles and backspacing

I'm not sure about the spindles moving the wheels out, what I do know is with with 3rd gen 15x6 aluminum F-Body wheels, the wheel itself rubs on the a-arm at full lock, not sure if it's the "4 fronts" or "4 rears" I see mentioned on occasion (maybe that's just GTA wheels?). I have Belltech 2100...
