Got my 6.0 today the swap begins.

6.0 has a lot more potential than a regular SBC. You can make the same or more power with an LS motor and it will be much more streetable.

    Whats this??...HELP...

That looks like the shorting plug to me. My '81 wasn't set up like that though, I had to snip the purple wire and insert the plug shown when I first put the 3-speed in.

    BRAKES?.?.?

Manual brakes to use a smaller bore because they need the added hydraulic advantage that isn't required with vacuum brakes (basically able to apply more pressure without vacuum assist).

    95 s-10 eaton m90 supercharger setup?

Even if it was a 4.3 it would still bolt up, you'd just need the proper brackets, and possibly need to redo some plumbing if it's intercooled.

    Dumb question about checking heads

I'll be honest, only thing I read regarding a leakdown test was a magazine article. It did say that anything up to around 20% isn't anything to be overly concerned about, because you're never going to have a cylinder that seals 100%.

I'm not sure I've seen them  I'm getting quite a poor memory bank at 28 :?

    Dumb question about checking heads

I could hear air from all of mine on my current motor :? Granted I pretty much just took them apart, cleaned them, put new valve seals in, & reassembled. I had to remove the springs for one thing or another after the engine was together, that's when I heard it. Engine's run fine for me the...

Holy crap Tommy's posting pictures of his car... is the world coming to an end? ;) Here's mine... like I said all I did was spray some carb cleaner on 'em and rub 'em down, didn't even take 'em out for a thorough washing.

Looking for stock 7.5 measurements, or...

... an .IPT (Inventor format) file of the rearend. I'm currently searching as I'm working on it, but any measurements will help a lot 8) Looking for distance between LCA mounts (and their inner measurements for the arms) and flange measurements backing plate bolt spacing & locating dimensions...

    auto vs stick

Your best bet if you plan on making that much power & racing it will probably be a T-56 or TKO500/600, or a Muncie. There are several ways you can go... mechanical clutch linkage will be cheapest but will require headers that allow it. Hydraulic is more flexible but costs more. Unless you're...

    3 speed conversion

Depends on the trans. Doesn't seem to be a lot in the way of replacement gears/hard parts for a Saginaw, but that's the cheapest. I picked my 4-speed up on CL for $125. Bought a new shifter install kit for another 4spd I had, ~$125 for that (rods, selector arms, shifter bracket), got a...

    3 speed conversion

A 4-speed Saginaw, T-10 and Muncie is a bolt-in, no changes needed to bellhousing or crossmember. I believe later Muncies had 26-spline input shafts (new clutch disc needed) and 32-spline (TH-400) output shafts, and T-10s also have 26-spline input, some are 32-spline output. I had to find the...
