If you're in a humid climate I'm betting rust.

I have Energy Suspension poly bushings for mine... but the car is still in pieces so I don't know how they'll ride. I'm pretty sure the whole squeak/noise thing is with suspension bushings. Poly bushings won't be doing much moving outside compression under the body.

Squarebore carb? I say the FAST EZ-EFI will be easiest... bolt that sucker on, wire it up &go! :D

Yeah, I say 'beat' on, but I rarely ever shocked the driveline with the clutch... same with the 4-speed that's in it now.

Hmm... mine lived for a summer of beating behind the 350 before I swapped the 4-speed in... guess I was lucky shrug.gif

I'd still be interested in the shifter/linkage/bracket, if you consider splitting them up (easier to pull the trans w/o the shifter installed anyway) let me know 8)

At the LEAST I would put in a Super T-10, but if you want to drive it a lot I suggest using one with wider gear spacing. A ST-10 with a 3.42:1 1st gear paired with a highway gear (think 2.14-2.73 with 26-27" tires) will be a great combo for a street 383. I have a similar combo using a Saginaw...

Oh I know about clicking the attachment... something like 800x600+ would be better (1024x768, 1280x1024, etc.).

The aluminum overflow can is a nice touch ;) :lol:

It will help against twist/body roll (not sure about traction though, mine doesn't seem to do much but I'm also running old worn out tires), an air bag in the passenger rear spring will also help.

The bottom end will likely be a cast Scat crank & their forged Pro Stock rods.
