    TH350 will look like a square pan with a notch taken out, TH400 will have an irregular (i.e. not square) shape to it. Checked your fluids? How's your kickdown cable operating?

    Re: 7.5" posi options G80 is just the designation for posi/limited slip. The vehicle application denotes what it actually uses I believe.

    Ford had a different bolt pattern for their T5s. GM actually started using that bolt pattern with their later T5s as well (why I have no clue). You can pick up a kit from one of several suppliers, but I'm pretty sure they all come from the same manufacturer...

    I've known about Super Bright LEDs for a while, just haven't bought anything from them. Make sure you read about those LED DRL bulbs, if your car uses your headlights for the DRLs, you shouldn't use 'em since they aren't as bright.

    Here's what I've done so far with mine... Took the 3-speed Saginaw out of a Mailbu at the junkyard (with the crossmember), put it in my '81 and everything bolted right up. Where are your motor mounts (as rjleiker said)?

    Yeah, mine is still bone stock, I drove it all last summer with probably 350hp or so and a manual trans (Saginaw, another rumored weakness), and didn't break a thing. Picked up a 4-speed Saginaw for this year, and hopefully getting a posi as well.

    What are you going to be doing more... racing it or driving it? I'm going to be driving mine, so I'm building the 7.5 for now. You can get 28-spline axles from Summit for about $240. I'll probably get something like a Detroit TruTrac for mine, cover support, etc. If I blow it up, oh well...
