    Lowering a Malibu rear end

You can cut coils from the top, but you should use something to keep the springs from coming off the perches. I got a set of Hotchkis 1902s (1" lower supposedly), and I think they dropped it more than 1".

    rear end options

Being in the realm of '68-'72, it will bolt in. Just make sure it's treated as that year range of axle, and not '73-'77.

    Lets see some engine pics

I'm likin' the black w/ red Edelbrock script 80monte... how'd you do that? I have a couple chrome cleaner lids that are looking fairly worn I'll probably just go full black with. One's an Edelbrock & the other's a Chevrolet that I think is still in good shape... gotta check... whichever one is...

    '92 4L60... SOLVED!

... in my truck. The converter isn't locking up, I don't think it has since I got it. I noticed it a couple months ago, but haven't had much of a chance to check everything yet. I used the ALDL port to try to force it to engage with no luck. My next step is making sure the wiring down to the...

Isolator with dual battery set up?

Why not run an alternator? If you're concerned about drag at the track, use a switch to shut it off when you race it.

    Valve cover breathers or.....

I've thought about asking such question, but of course haven't :P Since I have plans to remove the A/C box, and running a line from the would-be breather and PCV to a vent canister.

    Exhaust Video's

Fix your link! :P  Here's one I did in January just before I pulled the motor out. 9:1 350, Vortecs, Comp XE268H cam, Hooker Comp. headers, 2¼" exhaust with Flo Pro mufflers & turndowns. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GWMDs9issUc I'll replace this one with one I get later, after the...

    1998 GMC AWD Safari

My aunt has a '98 AWD Safari. The front end always feels like it's binding/front diff is locked when the wheels are turned... long as I can remember it's always done this. Is it normal?

    Speedo Question with 4L60E

That would be interesting to see. I was thinking... with the electronic trans you may need the VSS to retain lockup converter function. Be sure to check into that as well before switching to a mechanical speedo.

    Speedo Question with 4L60E

Yep, go to a junkyard for that last bit, you can likely get a tailhousing & speedo gears (not sure if they'll be correct, do your research here) from a core trans for fairly cheap.

    engine ticking on cold starts

You may have heard of using ATF before... I've used both ATF and Seafoam with similar results.

    Where to measure for wheels...?

So I have these wheels... I believe they're Camaro wheels, it's what I was told. The wheels have a chrome finish, and all the wheels on car-part.com listed for a 'Vette were silver, not chrome like the wheels I have. Anyway, I want to find out the measurement for sure, as the 'Vette wheels are...
