    car stereo problem....

I was beginning to wonder that myself. It may be chafed somewhere and some of the strands are broken... can't carry the current as well and heats up? I don't know...

    car stereo problem....

Take a voltmeter to the power connector for the radio for good measure :P I'm a little stumped what could be doing this so far. Do you have any other aftermarket radios you could try?

You'll also need your tire size to make sure it's correct.

Changed my thermostat and want to sell the car

I was a little off in my explanation I guess. You need to pull the intake to get easy access to the starter on the 4-cylinder because of how everything is cast.

Changed my thermostat and want to sell the car

Hey, be happy. In a Northstar engine (also one of the Saturn 4-cylinders), probably many other motors too, you have to pull the intake off just to get to the starter because it's down in the V where the lifter valley would be (OHC motor).

    Chevy Small Block V6

When it talks of 'earlier' v6s, it's probably talking about before they switched to one piece rear main seals, etc. in '87 with the small blocks. You'll know for sure when you to to put the flywheel on.

    car stereo problem....

Many of the newer radios also just have the fuse on the back of the chassis.

    car stereo problem....

Wiring it directly to the battery wouldn't fry it, unless there was too much voltage... in which case everything else would get fried too. The fuses are there so if it draws too much current you don't fry something. Voltage and current are two very different things.

What 4speed parts can you use to convert to 4speed

I'm not sure if your bellhousing has a provision for it, but the ballstud on the G-Body bellhousings was (I'm guessing here) about 3/4" below the 'normal' ballstud for the clutch fork. You also need a G-Body-specific clutch fork. I also agree with what Turna says. For a bellhousing/fork, you...

    How practical is a s/c for a d.d.

That's an excellent build :D Not a bad price on the blower for sure... Some (maybe all) of the centrifugal type (look almost like a turbo, bolt to the front of the motor) use an oil line. The article basically says that one doesn't require any maintenance, i.e. bolt on and go. At the same...

    Widest front tire?

Yeah, I haven't measured the back yet (no clue on side-to-side with the old bushings), just tried to get an idea of whether or not I'll even be close to being able to fit them. The wheels themselves are 9" or 9½" I think, maybe even 10"... they came in all those sizes :-k Being a 40 series I...

    Widest front tire?

I'm going to be attempting a 275/40/17 on mine (came on the wheels :?), I hope I'm not being overly hopeful on them fitting  Overall width of the tire is about 10 7/8", height is about 25 3/4". I used my little tire tool doohickey and it looks like with the right backspacing (spacers) I...

Isolator with dual battery set up?

You shouldn't rely on the battery to power your components when the car is running. Essentially you use the battery only to start the car, and the alternator handles the issue of charging and keeping your components going. If they're drawing more than what the alternator can produce, it's time...
