Only thing off the top of my head to fit a 60º bolt pattern is the 700R4 from the 2.8L S10. That and the T5s/4-speeds behind the 2.8.

X2 on the pigtail, I'd double check all the grounds for the wiring at the back. If you had one go bad it can make that happen.

Build a mild SBC for it, put in a T5, and save up for an LS/T56 swap if you can muster that much $ :lol: ;)

It's all in how soon you want to drive it :lol: Just think in 15 years the LS will be the SBC of today ;)

I'd go with the LS motor hands down if you're between that and building an SBC. You'll be close to 300hp easy with a stock 5.3, but you'll also probably spend more $ on the swap overall since the LS is a fairly new animal compared to a Gen 1 SBC.

There are aftermarket ones out there, I just got a stock one from a junkyard, $40 beats $130+... I saw bars from Suspension Techniques (???), Hellwig, Hotchkis, and Global West in my 5-minute search :)

I'd done some more reading after posting this, found the correct info about the oil pressure, and corrected it now (going through my old posts :P). Sorry if someone read this & got mixed up. I may do this for power to the coil since I'm still running a mechanical pump.

Re: NEED ELECTRICAL HELP Give your brake light switch a look too. Won't make any difference concerning turn signals, but it's not hard to get to, probably wouldn't hurt to check it out while you're down there. Could also be the turn signal switch itself, which is inside the column, or...
