Ok what would it take to put the brakes from the late model caprice into the malibus? I have a chance to buy the spindle and all brake components for cheap. So just curious on this set up.

New upper A-arms...which for me killed the idea. Hotchkis ones are $600 or you go with the circle track cheapies.
It has to be a big brake car, like any 9C1 Caprice or most of the B-bodies with HD brakes/Towing packages. The only parts you neet from the Caprice are the spindle & calipers. The rotors are 5-on-5 stud pattern which is no good. You need 1LE/WS6 rotors. The calipers can also be sourced for 3rd gen F-bodies or some of the older trucks.
