Hey guys!

Will a 17x8 rim with 4.5" backspacing fit?? I'm concerned with the fitment up front...will it be a problem with the 12" brake conversion vs. stock brakes?? Because i'm planning on doing the 12" brakes soon!!

Let me know guys..I may have a deal i cant pass up!!

Thanks!
Ed

Yes it will fit. I've run 17 by 8 with 4.5 backspacing with 245/45/17 on front with no issues. When I lowered the car down. I had to tim the inner fender well because they would run on big bumps.

I run 17x8's with a 5" bs and the 12" brake swap. Fits nice. No rubs period. 4.5" bs. would be close. Maybe too close if the car is lowered at all.

Keep in mind I am talking about running the b-body spindle 12" brake swap. With your stock spindles a 4.5" bs should fit just fine.

I have 17x8" TTII's with 4.5" backspacing, the 12" LS1 brake conversion and Lowered 3". No rubbing at all. The LS1 conversion only moves the wheels out the thickness of the rotor 1/8"-3/16" per side.
