80 Malibu- GN 8.5, stock wheel well, no notch. What Backspacing for a 15x10? I will be running a 235/60/15, I doubt that a 275/60 will tuck. I'm sure most would say to just notch frame, but I would rather not. From what I've read so far somewhere around a 4.5"-5" BS? Thanks for any input!

Why not just go with a 15x8 with the factory B/S and run a 275-60-15.

X235/8.5 racing has become huge, and little tire look is the new hip thing. I'm sure many won't like it, but just a fad.

i wouldnt put a 15x10 under it without at least notching the frame, your gonna have to use a 4 or 4.5" backspace wheel, which will probably make close to the outside fender still, may even stick out some

Is it a fad because more cars can break traction easier? :?

I put 17x9.5 with a 4.5 backspace. And they tuck in the well with lil mod to the fender lip. Just grinder down flush. Tried 10" but no go with out frame notch.

That's the fastest cars around here.... 5.40's...

Thanks Widomkr, do you think a 5" backspacing would do it though?

Its not a fad nor is it for the looks. Tire size is the great equalizer! Any idiot can put power to a steam roller tire, now try doing it on a tire size more suited to a grocery getter then a dump truck.

I'm still trying to figure out why you would want to put a 235/60-15 on a 10" wheel in the first place...

The local classes call for a 235/60R15. Putting them on a 10" or even a 12" wheel will increase the contact patch of the tire.
