Changes, changes, changes...

I’m back in the game, sort of. Made it down the track for the first time in about 12 years.

Pulled the turbo setup (for sale),sold the 406 (to a friend for his ‘65 Nova project), and dropped in a mild 468.

The car is still the same as 12 years ago, tires are from 2002, 3.42 gear, TH350 with 10” Hughes converter. First time to the track with the 468 resulted in disappointment...14.76 @75 mph. Part throttle, soft-launched with a 1.96 60’ but when I went to shift, the trans wouldn’t shift...

Needless to say, I’m eager to get back to the track and see what this big block can do.

Specs on the 468
9.6:1 20cc dome pistons
781 Casting heads, 2.19/ 1.88 valves
238/248 .550 /.550 lift hydraulic flat tappet cam
Weiand high rise dual plane intake
Holley 750 vacuum secondary carb
Air Inlet Sysytems ram air set up with 4” K&N filter (under a 2.5 cowl hood)
Stock manifolds which step up from 2.25" to 2.5" mandrel bent tubing to to a 3” Torque Tech exhaust which exits under the bumper
Three Chamber Flow Master Mufflers
Electric fan

Any guesses for ET? (my old 406 went 12.20@110)
