I want to put 17's on my 79 wagon. I want them the same all the way aroung. Whats the biggest rim and tire and with what b/s do i need? I dont want any rubbing or cleanance issues at all.

With stock suspension, 275's on 17x9 w/ about 5" BS should fit on all four corners. Some have had issues with turning radius while running 275's up front, but I have seen them fit with no problems. I myself cannot run 275's up front (sadly) due to tall ball joints, which prevents me from running the required amount of BS.

I have 245/45-17 tires on 17x8 wheels up front. The wheels have 4.5"BS, but you could probly get away with as low as 4". Backspacing of 4.25" would probably be ideal.
