I put in a new transmission cooler designed for a 2004 Cadillac. It has a thermostat that gets the transmission fluid warm then sends it to the cooler. Is it better to run new lines to the cooler and radiator or plumb it in by the cooler and radiator? Here's a picture of the thermostat.

I decided to install the thermostat. I'm going to run the transmission line to the thermostat and to the cooler. Then plan to run the line from the cooler to thermostat and back to the transmission. I won't use the radiator transmission cooler at all.

Here's the pictures of the transmission cooler mounted in front of the radiator.

I would like your opinions if you think the mounting is secure enough or do I need to make changes to secure it better?

I made a change where the transmission cooler sits now. Here's some pictures of it where it's now sitting. Here's some pictures showing it.

It sits a little lower, but has more space between it and the AC condenser. It's not tightened up tight yet. Any opinions whether is a a good fit or if it needs to be done differently?

I'm going hook up the transmission cooler, but have a question. Which is the better lines from the transmission to use? I have 3/8's rubber I can put in from the transmission to the cooler or is it better to use the 1/4 inch metal with some 1/4 inch rubber in between the metal pieces?

I'm in the process of connecting the transmission cooler. On a 2004r transmission, does the line going from the transmission to the cooler, come from the fitting that is lower and to the rear of the transmission? Just wanted to make sure it's connected up right now.
