I mocked one up, running a 325 now. It fit with a 315, 10" rim, 5.5 bs with stock width rear. I would say a 6" bs would be better though. As far as makin it fit, you have basically a skin for a framerail and a mini tub. Have pics at home, can't access them at work.

i'll probably go with a ladder bar back half kit to get the room i want, i want the lip of the rim to be right at the fender on the rear, want this thing to sit low

You should have no problem them. Might as well narrow the rear end a little and get a rim with less backspacing than what I had to use to get the rim inside the wheelwell.

What do you plan to do with the car? Most of todays street oriented classes (for the D/R tire) require stock suspension and won't allow back halves.

The cars look great lowered with the tire tucked, but you may limit what you can do with the car. If just for pleasure cruising, then ignor this post. lol

thanks for the pics, thats one big tire once i see it on a car.10secbu ive always had a somewhat quick street car to play with, I got tired of driving to the track ,changing tires, race then changing again to drive home.I now want to just drive to the track race and drive home.i guess its gonna be my "weekend" ride, besides i always wanted a big block street car!

what backspacing would i need to get for a 15x10 wheel to put a 315/60/15 in the rear of an el camino?

With a stock width rear end, you'd probably be "around" a 6" backspacing on 15 X 10's, with LOTS-O-NOTCH :)
