4" front wheel, what tire size?

I have a set of 4" front ralleys and was wonderin whats the best size tire for them? Most of my buddys run 165-15's and I have made fun of them to the point that if I put them on my car I would never live it down. Besides that I like to take turns a lot faster than I should so something a little wider wouldnt hurt. Whats the widest that you would recommend? I was thinking or tryin a 205, any opinions?

i don't think you can squeeze a 205 on a 4" rim. the widest you should go is a 185 r15. if you're really that concerned about cornering speed, you could go up to a 5 1/2" or 6" rim, then you could get a 195 or 205 on there safely. otherwise i'd put on a racing front skinny like a hoosier, goodyear, or moroso ds-2, as they tend to have stiffer sidewalls than the radial skinnies, and won't 'flop over' as much.

Thanks for the info, I think I could live witha 185. I was givein the wheels, I would have gone witha wider one if I had my choice but beggars cant be choosers.

wow. i never thought it would be possible, but you pulled it off. when i was working in tires, they would've fired me for putting anything bigger than a 185 on a 4" rim, citing a safety issue, but now that i see it, it looks pretty dam good!

Ya I looked at summit and the smallest rim they say to run is a 5", But I have to say they dont look bad on a 4"
