700r4 lock up control via SSBC A0730........

All you electrical gurus please tell me if I can control the lock up on my with the SSBC A0730 proportioning valve that I have lying around on the shelf......it has the brake light switch on the valve.....so I was think I could run the lock up wire from the trans to it........will it work or this doesnt make sense at all.....please let me know and thanks a bunch guys......

The only issue is that's a normally open switch I'm assuming, and closes to turn the brake lights on when you push the pedal. It would work for triggering a relay to disengage lockup though.

You can change the switch on the SSBC Prop. Valve to a N/C " Normally closed" switch for the Lockup.
GM PART # 8642346 "2 Terminal N/C Switch"
Or use a Cruise Control style Brake pedal switch to control Lockup & Brake lights.,
GM PART # 25524845 "4 Terminal" Brake switch.

You can get the Brake switch from a local auto parts store, just look it up for a car/truck that came with a TH700R4/TH2004R or TH350C trans. The Pressure switch can be bought at a Trans shop, Trans part supplier, ebay etc.. just needs to be a N/O 2-Terminal. The Self Grounding switches are 1-terminal switches.
