Bigger Caliper?

Hey does anyone know if I could upgrade the front calipers to something else without doing the entire B body big brake setup? thanks for the help.

wilwood makes some sweet metric style calipers and with some other mild upgrades like hoses and rotors i would think it would be just as good as a b body swap

SpeedwayMotors.com and other places have aluminum ones as well. SSBC makes a 4 piston bolt-in caliper.

yeah i think the wilwood aluminum calipers with some braided line and drilled and slotted rotors would make it a lot better stopper, not to mention the 20 lbs unsprung weight savings, thanks for the input guys.

What rotors are you looking at, I'm going for a similar setup and looking for choices.

Drilled and slotted rotors don't really help stopping power unless heat is a major concern. They may take away from the performance and even weaken the rotor, but they do look cool. I like slots to keep the pads and rotors cleaner though. They don't take much away from the rotors' surface area either.

To be honest, the rotors are just for looks, it's a street car.

Make sure not to skimp on pads. They might be the biggest difference besides looks.

Yeah its mainly a street strip car, I dont need trick rotors, just looking to save weight where I can, the Wilwood calipers are only 2.5 pounds or so, thats sweet!
