brake upgrade

What brakes can i use for an upgrade from the stock ones. Ive searched the forum n only found couple but they arnt sure how they worked...Id like to go rear disk bt then i would have to buy new porportioning valve and all that. But what would be the best...i Have manual brake setup as well..Going to be getting s10 drop spindles for it..any one done the converstion that can help me out? thx

I read over at TurboBuick larger "S10" rear brake cylinders with 7/8" bore (stock 3/4") fit. Napa part# UP 37644. Also you could double long shoe the rears too. That would require 2 sets of shoes.
