Have a bone stock 350 and have two intakes. One Square bore and one spread bore. Trying to figure out what the best most reliable option would be for a carb. This will be driven by my son as a daily driver. I am assuming i dont need anyhting over a 600cfm? Ive been looking at the Holleys but am really not sure what one to get? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

X2 8) I run one on my stock 350 and it's responsive and once you get it tuned to the engine it's good for a LONG time. The only thing I had to do is get a spring kit for the metering rods because of a slight hesitation.

Quadrajet or small edelbrock. Both excellent carbs for the street.

I personally like the Quadrajets for mild applications but any of the above mentioned carbs will work once set up for your application.

If you decide on the Quadrajet it would be best to get one with electric choke and APT (adjustable part throttle) these we're offered after 1975 and are the most universal and easy to tune. These are commonly used by the speciality carb company's that set these QJ's up (Jet Performance and others).

There's always my favorite- the Holley 3310. Throw an electric choke on it & go!!

I like the 1850 holley. 600 cfm and it is calibrated for a mild 350 right out of the box. Had one on my chevelle for years and only swapped jets. My father runs one on his 12.50 bracket car and we only changed jets/ squirters. Low cost and simple
