I am considering switching to manual brakes in my Monte Carlo SS. My cam does not give me sufficient vaccum with the power brakes. They work good most of the time but you never know what could happen. ( for example, if I am sitting at a sto sign, take off and then need to stop imedietely I can hardly stop, its kind of scary) anyways, I was considering going to manual brakes and I am wondering what it is like? Is it difficult to stop? How much harder is the pedal? Thanks in advance! I appreciate it.

BTW I even added a vaccum reserve canister and that didnt seem to help at all

With the steel concepts kit, they work like a charm. Not at all a hard pedal, but not mush either. You could lock up my power brakes with a little less pedal effort, but that's it.
