as far as I know the centre of u joint to centre of axle is longer on a 12 bolt than the 10 bolt so no it most likely will not work

If your car is stock height, it will have to be shortened. If your car is lowered it may be just right. My car is lowered with '70 Chevelle rear springs (about 2" or so) and my stock driveshaft fits just right with my '70 Chevelle 12-bolt. Due to suspension geometry the farther up the suspension goes the farther it pulls away from the trans, and of course the farther down that susupension goes farther it pushes forward towards the trans. Best way to find out is put jackstands under rear axle tubes with suspension set at normal operating height, insert your stock driveshaft or whatever driveshaft you have into the trans all the way, then pull it out one inch. see if it will go into the rear end yoke, or measure from the driveshaft yoke in trans to the pinion yoke and figure it out from there. AGAIN, THE DECIDING FACTOR IS THE RIDE HEIGHT OF YOUR CAR, IT MAKES A BIG DIFFERENCE ON THESE CARS.
