Just curious if you can put any kind of washer (plastic/delrin/fiber) washer between the washer and rim face on a Weld wheel to avoid the scratching if you ever plan on using the other pattern?

If you do just check the tightness of the lugnuts every time you drive it. 
there is probably too much stress that will compress the washers down and the nuts will loosen shrug.gif
IIRC the correct washers are raised above the rim thickness and the only thing you have to worry about scratching the rim is a deep socket when removing the lugnuts.
