So I'm looking to move my emergency/parking brake to a Lokar handle in between the seats on a 79 wagon with bucket seats.
I prefer the open look, without a console, but the floorpan is curved for the driveshaft to clear. This eliminates bolting the thing right to the floor, without some fabricated piece.
I also am concerned about the cable wrapping around the driveshaft. That may slow me down a little. Or a lot...
I know a lot of rear wheel drive cars have the handle in between the seats (such as a Camaro), but I am not sure how they route the cable.
So I need to know if anyone has done this, and where/how they routed the cable under the car.
Thanks!
