i guess i can ask this here without starting a new forum. whats the effects of muffler placement related to sound?

From what I understand, the farther away from the engine they are, the more mellow the sound, Also the more hp you make(or should i say you lose less hp than having them closer)

Everything I've seen with the mufflers further forward are loud.

My cousin has 2 chamber flowmasters bolted to the collector on his
Nova, and they are loud. I'll post a vid in a minute. It's an iron headed 489 with a .714 solid roller.

This is my brothers car that we have been working on it has a full 3 in exhaust with x-pipe and race pro mufflers.
