Front end interchange

Well, had a bit of fender bender yesterday so I'm wondering if the front header panel (or whatever you'd call it, the fibreglass part) is the same between the years, or if it's just the grill that was changed with the header being the same.

Any info is greatly appreciated.

All the headers will fit...only thing you need to know is that 78-79 is one style. 80-81 are the second style and 82 and up are another style.

dont mean to hijack just wondering 80-82 the grille and light bezel mounting points are the same only grille styles are different

You mean 80 -81 ? Cuz the 82 and up are the 4 headlights

That's my guess. Same with '78-'79, and I think '82+ all have the same grilles/bezels. Later El Caminos (not sure about Malibus since they stopped at '83) also have marker lights at the bottom front of the fender.
